Kijamii specialty coffee

Kijamii Coffee stands for top quality, fair trade, and genuine partnership. Every year, we visit the best growing regions in East Africa to source hand-picked specialty coffee directly from selected farmers, without intermediaries. Together with them, we continuously work on-site to optimize cultivation, harvesting, and processing – ensuring outstanding quality in every bean. "Kijamii" means "social" in Swahili, and that's exactly what we live by: direct contact, fair prices, and sustainable coffee cultivation.

We are convinced – good coffee begins with responsibility.

A shared vision

It all began when Dominik Münstermann developed the idea for Kijamii Kaffee during his studies – supported by friends who accompanied him along the way. With passion and dedication, the brand grew until the first store and roastery opened in Witten in 2019.

Today, Kijamii stands on a solid foundation of coffee expertise, team spirit, and genuine conviction. In addition to Dominik, Maximilian Kranz is now on board as co-founder to further expand Kijamii.
